The Saturday Breakfast Club is a one-on-one tutoring program where the student and volunteer can develop a long-term relationship. The Club meets Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Evanston Public Library, Main Branch, at 1703 Orrington Ave.
Y.O.U. is a nonprofit organization that provides services in three areas: academic enrichment, social development, and emotional support.

Special Gifts Theatre

Special Gifts Theatre is recruiting production assistants and volunteers to sell concessions, distribute programs, collect tickets and perform a variety of other tasks to support its production of Disney’s "High School Musical." Productions are scheduled at The Skokie School in Winnetka, at 2 p.m. on March 6, 7, 13 and 14.
The mission of Special Gifts Theatre is to provide children and teens with special needs a unique, creative drama experience enabling personal growth while breaking down stereotypes related to disabilities within the community.

Gently used, rubber-soled shoes. Wilmette resident, Jenny Sterrett, is collecting gently used shoes for this organization. The shoes are sent to Africa where the organization provides much-needed footwear as well as agricultural resources including wells, training, seeds and livestock.

The Chicago Urban Ministry & Life Intervention (CUMALI)

CUMALI is looking for donations of food, clothing and money. Every Monday night, volunteers travel to three sites in Chicago where they pass out sandwiches and hot chocolate as well as items such as socks or coats. The goal is to create a community atmosphere and to provide housing, healthcare and employment aid.

Designs for Dignity

Designs for Dignity works with area nonprofits to provide pro bono interior design services for those in need. The Heart Homes Initiative will pair individual families in need with volunteer interior designers. As part of this program, they are accepting donations of furniture. The Glenview Park Foundation
