Coffee in the summer is a necessity for us caffeine addicts, so when it’s 90 degrees out, skip the hot brewed and go iced.
Instead of messing with brewing then chilling—who has the time—Cindy Price, in The New York Times, suggested this brilliant method.
Serves: 2
Prep Time: 1 minute (but needs to steep overnight)
1. In a mason jar, stir together coffee and 1 1/2 cups water. Screw the top on and let rest at room temperature overnight.
2. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve lined with a coffee filter.
3. In a tall glass filled with ice, mix equal parts coffee concentrate and water, or to taste. If desired, add milk.
